Her current research examines how institutions (including state, state-owned media and NGOs) and experts in Chinese social media narrate the links between everyday practices on nonhuman animals and ecological risks, and how responsibility and ethical implications are framed.

This dissertation conducts a semi-systematic literature review, under the lens of Critical Animal and Media Studies, comparing how international and China-focused scholarship has analyzed invasive species discourse in media. Drawing on 49 international and 26 China-focused studies, it examines dominant frames, narrative strategies, and analytical approaches across two bodies of literature not previously brought into direct comparison.
The review identifies a shared reliance on a management-oriented analytical framework, recurring media representation patterns, and, at a deeper structural level, the same anthropocentric structure governing which nonhuman animals gain moral visibility. It also finds three co-constitutive divergences concerning engagement with interdisciplinary traditions, the scholarly stance toward the invasive species category, and forms of critical analysis. Together, these divergences help explain the uneven emergence of a small but growing critical strand within the international literature, for which no equivalent tradition exists in China-focused scholarship.
本文在批判动物与媒介研究（Critical Animal and Media Studies）的视角下，进行了一项半系统性文献综述，比较国际与中国学界如何分析媒体中的"入侵物种"话语。研究基于49项国际研究与26项中国研究，考察了此前从未被直接比较的两个文献体系中的主导框架、叙事策略与分析路径。
该综述发现，两者共同依赖于一种以治理为导向的分析框架，呈现出相似的媒体再现模式；在更深层的结构上，二者受制于同一种决定哪些非人类动物能够获得道德可见性的人类中心主义结构。研究还发现三个相互构成的分歧，分别涉及对跨学科传统的参与程度、学界对"入侵物种"这一分类本身的立场，以及批判性分析的形式。这些分歧共同解释了国际文献中一股虽小但持续增长的批判脉络为何得以不均衡地浮现，而这一脉络在中国相关研究中尚无对应的传统。
